Fredericksburg Area Lodging and Hospitality Association (FAL&HA) was established five years ago when two separate organizations, the Hospitality Association and the Lodging Association, joined forces and became one organization. Membership consists of business owners, managers, and organizations in the hospitality and lodging business whether it is accommodations, restaurants, retail stores, wineries, museums, etc.
The purpose of FAL&HA is to champion the concerns of the lodging and hospitality industry in the Fredericksburg area, to promote higher standards in the industry, to educate their members and the public, and serve as an accurate source of information thru advertising, teaching, and web publishing. Members belonging to FAL&HA benefit from networking with other members, marketing their business on the FAL&HA website and staying informed about area issues, events, as well as local and state legislation.
FAL&HA meets bi-monthly throughout the year for a short business meeting and social gathering. We also feature one or two guest speakers a year to educate members and the public on current business strategies and community development. We also have one Ways and Means activity – an Annual Bed and Breakfast and Cuisine Tour – where a portion of the proceeds are donated to a Fredericksburg Area Charity. FAL&HA also works in conjunction with the Fredericksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) in promoting tourism in Fredericksburg and in providing that unique and wonderful “Fredericksburg Experience” to the tourist.
FAL&HA gives each member the opportunity to network with their peers, market their business, learn about business strategies and developments, stay informed on area issues, become involved in the community and give back to that said community.
